For people looking for the style of chiclet keys but the feel of mechanical keys, low profile mechanical keyboards are what you are looking for. The total distances and actuation distances of all of these keyboards are less than the MX-style switches.

The best keyboards you can buy in 2023

They all have a total travel distance of 2.7mm, an actuation distance of 1.5mm, and an actuation force of 50g making it a standard low-profile switch. It's not just pretty though; the typing performance is also on-point. Those switches are very responsive and great to type on, especially when combined with this keyboard's gasket mounted design, which also helps with making it slightly quieter than other mech keyboards. There's also no noticeable latency with the wireless connection, even thoughit does take a second for it to re-establish, we've noticed.
