Another positive aspect of the SB-910 is color plastic filterswhich are very easy to install on the SB-900 were gelatin filterswhich are rather inconvenient to install on a plastic diffuser. I have found that if I place a flash in the next room, the flash sometimes does not fire and there must be a clear line of sight.

Speaking of batteries, when are we going to get the option of rechargeable Lithium battery cells, like we use in our DSLR bodies? With the Nikon SB-910 it’s almost magical how it can pick up your flash settings and knows when to fire even when the line of sight is lost. We've been using a full production version of this 120 fps sports camera, to see what you gain (and, perhaps, lose). And when I’m going for that last little bit of subtlety in my bounced light, I prefer to bounce just a little bit to the left or right, which currently means that I gotta swivel the flash head alllll the way around the front.The SB-910 flash is heavy - 410 grams, such a flash will be rather inconvenient to use on a younger line of cameras, such as Nikon D40, D40x, D60, D50, D3000, D3100, D5000, D5100 etc.
