Since then, the number of Incredible Edible groups in the UK has soared from 25 to more than 100, and the movement is hugely popular across the globe. There are lots of people who have walked this journey before you, ready to share their learning and local networks meeting together to inspire and build each other up. Work at the moment involves preparing the beds for planting, sowing seeds and growing and harvesting them. Overall this is a fun and interesting book for both growers and cookers of weird and wonderful fruits and veggies, i recommend it!

I was expecting something that I could read before heading to the garden centre for inspiration, a general guide with commonly used edidble crops.Whether you're new to grow-your-own and determined to make the most of limited space with a truly gourmet harvest, or a seasoned grower looking to spice up the kitchen garden with brand new flavour experiences, this book has something for everyone. We have a big enough garden, but most of the "edibles" are quite obscure to find and seem difficult to grow. It reads a bit like an encyclopaedia with information about an enormous range of unusual edible plants, but, quite simply, when you want some real detail, it isn't there. Lots of different varieties of food and drinks on offer including vegetarian and guilt free options. The group meets regularly at Todmorden Unitarian Church and manages plantings and other food producing projects throughout the town.

Great selection to choose from, the menu was varied and interesting, I had the veggie breakfast and it was delicious, you can tell the ingredients were of good quality.

Incredible Edible was born in Todmorden in 2007 through like minded people coming together with a common aim, to create kind, confident and connected communities through the power of food. In their northern market town they saw unloved places and wondered if they planted veg in them and encouraged people to take what they needed they could create a conversation that would enable people to think differently about the power and potential of their future. The Incredible Edible Network was set up in 2012 in response to the huge popularity of the original group in Todmorden and the flood of enquiries from those who wanted to embrace it’s aims.

As for being a member of these now beautiful and giving villages, I have met many more of my neighbours.
