It’s an excellent introduction to Miles as a character while also telling the origin story of Miles Morales in the Ultimate universe. If you’re a fan of Marvel and looking to jump into the world of Spider-Man (Miles Morales), you should start with Ultimate Comics Spider-Man #1.

There are some great moments like when he fights VENOM and all that follows or the story with his Uncle Prowler and the drama with his father, fight with Galactus and all and the drama with the Ultimates (Avengers) and the result of it and finally i like the Ganke character and he brings a lot of gravitas into the role and finally the big Peter team up of 616 to fight Mysterio and the return of 1610 Peter and their fight with Green Goblin remains a highlight for me. Let's start with the art - there are a few artists on this run but there wasn't a bad one in the bunch. They are all exceptional and do well with the quiet moments (conversations) which is a must for someone drawing a Bendis story.

Miles Morales is a fictional superhero appearing in the Marvel Comics universe. He was created by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Sara Pichelli and first appeared in Ultimate Fallout #4 in 2011. Brian is currently helming a renaissance for Marvel’s AVENGERS franchise by writing both New Avengers and Mighty Avengers along with the successful ‘event’ projects House Of M, Secret War, and this summer’s Secret Invasion. Bendis’s other projects include the Harvey, Eisner, and Eagle Award-nominated Powers (with Michael Avon Oeming) originally from Image Comics, now published by Marvel's new creator-owned imprint Icon Comics, and the Hollywood tell-all Fortune and Glory from Oni Press, both of which received an "A" from Entertainment Weekly. Characters go from telling him that he's too young on one issue to then being completely accepting of him, inviting him to the team, offering to train him, by the next issue. In one issue, Miles walks (swings) the the Ultimates HQ (Avengers) and ask to join the team, by the end of the issue he's a member of it. Perhaps the greatest insult is that Miles is able to defeat the enemy that bested Peter; even two Peter Parkers approve of Miles. The only adversity Miles faces is himself which for half of the omnibus doesn't make sense. He doesn't want to use his powers because he doesn't, and on the other half he doesn't because of a tragedy (which makes sense). I had previously read part of this story as a normal graphic novel, so it was great to read the whole origin of the character and his early adventures. If you are a fan of the character from the Into the Spider-Verse film or the Miles Morales video game, I highly recommend this. Spider-Man vol. 2. (2016–2017) sees Miles Morales donning the mask and swinging through New York City’s skyline as the new Spider-Man of Earth-616!
