Given that the fuel filter housing is cracked, and this looks like a fuel starvation issue, I'd say that is the most likely culprit. Don't trust a dealer to say they've done it, but the part and have a go yourself so you know it's done. The car also gets a good motorway run every weekend (80 miles each way) so I don't think there's a problem with the DPF. Between initially leaving my Yeti at the local dealership and being permitted the use of the 2015 Fabia courtesy car, my father bailed me out by lending me his 2010 Fabia.

was going to say glow plugs on 20vt i know your not meant to start the engine till the light goes out so looks like its not warming the cylinders up enough so light is staying on. Wouldn't have been rocket science for them to put a little paragraph in the handbook though Ah OK, too late! First off unplug the main ECU connector and look for corrosion (8mm bolt runs through it, just in front of the firewall drivers side) then follow the cables looking for chafe. Took te car a run to carry out a forced regen and when i started driving normally on the way home the glow plug light started flashing saying visit garage! The flashing glow plug light almost always means brake light switch problems on most diesel VAG cars, so it seems weird that the glow plugs themselves were changed.Garage have scanned it to reveal two fault codes 4891 and 4892, which both indicate EGR valve probs. Ok, I would still think that this is just a coincidence, for an electrical fault to cause a bulb to blow there would have to be some serious voltage fluctuations or similar. I have no choice, but to take a day off work and get it back to the non-franchised dealer (right awkward n0bs). A boost hose could have split or popped off, you'd usually hear a hiss, whoosh or pop and again, black exhaust smoke. Eventually, usually after driving on very rough roads, the lights go out - but come back randomly a couple of weeks later.

Coming back we pulled out of the services and I let the other half drive, we went to move out of 1st lane, flipped DSG paddle to get a little power and all hell let loose. One condition when the symbol may be utilised during normal (warmed up) running appears to be associated with DPF faults.

Stop/start hasn’t worked since I started doing only short journeys, apart from immediately after charging up the battery. If they all went in at the same time, chances are if one is dodgy, the rest might not be far behind. Could it be a glitch or a sign of failure due and is it worth me doing anything at this stage if the lights is back to normal?
