When I told my 10 year old he could help me review an InvestiGators book before anyone could buy it he practically jumped out of his skin in excitement. The 10 year old says that he loved the humor throughout the book and the mystery with the twist at the end. My 14 year old says that the plot line is funny and entertaining. He loves the play on words. My 7 year old loves InvestiGators because they are funny, Mango is his favorite character.

Shown Their Work: In All Tide Up, Mango mentions his skin getting dry from being in the ocean. as it's not like the rivers and lakes that he's used to. This makes sense as alligators are freshwater creatures. In the third mission it is mentioned that he have escaped (highly referring to book 2 events), the player is asked to find all the clues that are in the area (the sewer), among which is a photo of him and crumbs from his body. Mind-Control Eyes: When characters are mind controlled by Slinker, their eyes become purple swirls.An Aesop: Off the Hook is where Mango learns that he can't always win in every scenario, and learns to make tough decisions on his own. This graphic novel is going to be published by First Second publisher and will be considered a great read for the reading age range between 7 – 10 years and grade level 2 – 3. He is now a radioactive green mass, he does not have a specific shape apart from his head, face and arms, at the moment this has been his final form. Those fans and readers who have read the rest of the part in the InvestiGators series and eagerly waiting for the final one then it is the time to embark upon the conclusion part. My creative team (my 14, 10, and 7 year old boys and myself) really enjoyed the opportunity to read the advance copy of this book. Here is our honest review: The story is hilarious, there are so many laugh-out-loud and snort-inducing moments, and the drawings are perfect.When the captain of a cruise ship is found drifting at sea, the search begins for his missing ship and passengers! Did it sink? Was it boat-napped? Are supernatural forces at play?! Acronym and Abbreviation Overload: There is a ton of it shown, especially from S.U.I.T. Examples include: There are so many puns that it can be a little much at times, but I suspect that kids would not catch all of them, and they and the malapropisms are definitely used as teachable moments for early and developing readers. As the story unfolds, a cruise ship captain is discovered adrift in the open sea, his mind clouded by delirium. Replacement Goldfish: Subverted. S.U.I.T. headquarters provides Mango a robotic copy of Brash named RoboBrash while the real one is in a coma.

Emotional Regression: In Ants in Our P.A.N.T.S., it's revealed that Brash had been age regressed to a 3 year old to cope with his trauma and is afraid to wake up, until Mango eventually helps him in a later chapter. Hookline and Slinker found him on the ground next to a sewer outlet, they took the opportunity to help him and join his villain team. Looks exactly as Waffledile, but now is made of concret, purely silver colored and bigger after the Embiggener effects. Another major issue that I really, REALLY hope won't become a trend is Mango's decrease in intelligence. Okay, it's not that bad, but this book's Mango can be quite the child at times. And I know that's kind of his character, in a way. A bit childish, a bit goofy, and a bit dumb. But that's what makes his breakthroughs all the more memorable. It gives him a spotlight.The photo of him in the "Fountain of Fallen Agents" is shown in multiple occasions when Cilantro investigates and walks around S.U.I.T. His aliases are always a combination of the thing he is made of, and the word "Crocodile" (his species) When a cruise captain is found drifting at sea and delirious, the search begins for his missing ship and passengers! Did it sink? Was it boat-napped? Are supernatural forces at play? And can the InvestiGators unravel this maritime mystery before a second cruise befalls a similarly unfathomable fate?
