The popular BBC murder mystery show Strike is set to film its sixth season, The Ink Black Heart, very soon - but in the meantime, JK Rowlings' seventh instalment in her bestselling series, titled The Running Grave has just been released. JKR sure knows how to craft suspense, mostly by putting her characters through the wringer, and I am HERE for it.Letzterer vergnügt sich lieber mit billigen Tussen, die ihm und seiner Detektei auch noch Ärger machen. The atmospheric cover image shows Cormoran and Robin standing at the seaside, facing away to look at the ocean - and also giving very little away about what to expect from the plot! While the fans loved the novel, reviewers have had a slightly more mixed reaction to the novel, with some claiming that it was too lengthy. There are also some huge moments that had the hairs on my arms prickling up and making me gasp in shock.

It pains me so much to acknowledge this, given what a huge fan I am of this series, but I was so disappointed by this book. It would be very interesting to know what senior figures in some “churches” make of some of this material. The cult member then says “bodies don’t matter”, only the “spirit” matters, and it’s against the cult’s beliefs to think people aren’t “good enough to sleep with”. Robin and Strike then use evidence from the original police investigation and their subsequent investigation to find Margot's body and identify her killer: Janice Beattie, a nurse who worked for Margot's practice. We are also not going to be able to get away from the fact that, in some quarters, JK Rowling is now seen very much as The Great Satan, and that every word in this book is going to be very closely examined as a pretext to issue another condemnation.
