MCP Engineering Plastics Limited are a semi-finished, moulded, and skived Teflon™ sheet supplier. Our Teflon™ products are available in virgin PTFE, modified PTFE and filled PTFE, with the widest range of metric and imperial sizes. Teflon sheets are specially engineered to withstand incredibly high temperatures, up to 500°F in some cases. This makes them ideal for sublimation which requires larger heat transfers. If you are sublimating materials that require lower heat, such as ceramic tiles or certain types of fabric, parchment paper may be sufficient.

PTFE soon appeared in households around the globe as a durable coating on frying pans under the brand name "Teflon." It was a huge commercial success. But, Parchment paper is better suited for certain specific applications, such as when pressing fabric or materials that are prone to bleeding and while working with dye sublimation.

Teflon has several other applications. It is also used to make wire and cable coatings, fabric and carpet protectors, and waterproof fabrics for outdoor clothing such as raincoats ( 2, 3).
