The strong clamping force, which’s great for tracking, makes them hard to wear for extended periods. My friend Brennan Parker from YT always thanks me for that recommendation because he says the same thing: It’s a great headphone just to kick back with even though some other people online might tell you otherwise. Plus you'll be safe in the knowledge that the person sitting on the bench next to you won't give you funny looks as you happily listen to the same 3 bar turnaround on repeat for hours on end! The PRTF graph shows a decent amount of activation and accuracy in the response, however, there's not a 10KHz notch present. However, its reasonably flat frequency response, somewhat low 64 ohm impedance, and high sensitivity mean it's suited for a wide variety of listening tasks.

Not the best cans for mixing, they're certainly not the flattest in terms of frequency response, but that's not what they're designed for. They’re primarily constructed from a robust plastic material, which, at first glance, appears sturdy and durable. Sennheiser knows audio, and if you end up disliking these it's down to personal tastes and not any major performance flaw in the headphones. They provide sufficient noise isolation to feel safe - regarding my hearing - which was a very important factor in choosing this specific model.Now if you know music, this is probably the song that kick-started dubstep, the song is so electronic and the breakdown is an all-assault on bass at the end. When mix engineers add a little bass thump to the mix, as many modern producers and engineers often do, the HD 280 Pro handles it beautifully—you hear and feel it, and yet it's never booming.

When I come back, the consensus is "the senn hd280 is crap, has always been crap, and will continue to be crap" now I'm a bit confused as just 5 years ago it was considered quite nice. If the adaptiveness issues were not as detrimental, there would be a great potential for them to be a great tool for numerous tasks. The only downside to that close pillow-like fit is that my ears warm up a little faster than with some other headphones, but the difference is almost negligible.And thanks to their comfort, all those hours spent in front of a screen won’t tire your ears nearly as much as it will your eyes. We don’t do any stress tests and very few models are used for longer than a couple of days, so this is a fairly subjective score.
