All the pictures were blurry and of random things, and they weren't necessarily pretty, and didn't really add anything to the poems. The kindle version is the next best thing and still enjoyable, but I really think you miss out on experiencing the images as they should be viewed. Let’s put a couch on an island in the middle of the freeway and wave at everyone on their way to work. Add the mysterious and daunting photos, this book is written for you and only you by someone who dares to show how much you matter in this world and reminds you that there is someone who cares and life has meaning. After darkness, there is always light and you get reminded of this every morning but still you choose to believe that the night will last forever. It reminds me of one of the place I visit in Taipei though it’s not exactly the same place it reminds me of my stay there.

Worse is, what he got out of the box were a bunch of creepy - not creepy cool Ransom Riggs, but creepy creepy unlikely - photographs. As if he really knew me so well, like a bestfriend I always wanted to have and he easily put into words all I wanted to say. They're not terrible, but they're small and black and white and quite dark, so you definitely miss out. All subsequent posts encapsulate what has become the I Wrote This For You series, a seemingly never-ended photography-and-poetry project. Every Word You Cannot Say, his first major collection of poetry since I Wrote This For You, will be released in 2019.

When you read an intense, packed book like the last one I reviewed, you want to read something that makes you feel you’re flying through it to even it out.Now, given the fact that I went looking for something like The Lover’s Dictionary, a comparison of some sort is natural, though unfair. Again this poetry book is not for all, but compared to Lang Leav's Love and Misadventure I rather like this one. The instant forced intimacy with someone I don't know and have never interacted with before and know nothing about due to the second person perspective, the instant disclosures, and the unhinged scifi and/or delusional perspective was incredibly creepy. He regularly travels the world to work, attend festivals and conferences but when he isn’t, he lives in New York with his family, two cats and a dog.
