After using expensive valve preamps when recording in studios, I was after a cheaper version for my home studio; something that would add warmth to a bland digital signal. One thing to consider, Many complain that the included tube is just not all that great. The factory tube (12ax7a) is often replaced by the end user. A groove tube or a j-tubes replacement are common choices. Also, the unit can opperate with other 12a... tubes, a 12at7 for example. So, you may consider just swapping it out for a few other types and choosing the one that sounds the most pleasing to you. I think people who say it does not Pramp do not perhaps have sounded really used properly. Playing between the level and the level of output, we can get some pretty cool results. Using a transformerless design throughout, the Tube MP maintains exceptional signal integrity and extremely low noise. With XLR and 1/4" inputs, a phase reverse switch, and a sturdy steel case, the Tube MP is a great choice for both studio and location work! ART Tube MP Preamplifier Features: The Tube MP accomplishes this quite well when you balance the price point with the overall product. The Tube MP does indeed impart some warmth to the signal but in my opinion it's more noticeable quality is a small amount of extra "focus" to the sound. In my experience the Tube MP has really helped with tightening up the upper midrange and treble of the source, and is helpful with virtually any microphone for adding a bit of "life" to the sound.

In short, super convenient, easy to use, simple disassemble (to change the lamp according to el'utilisation we want to do).

Great Tube Warmth from a Portable, Affordable Preamp!

First of all, I have to say I love the looks of this piece of equipment with its old-school VU meter. Aesthetically it looks much nicer and like a more expensive machine compared to the higher grade Art preamps. Input: 1/4″ TRS unbalanced (1meg Ω), XLR female balanced. Output: 1/4″ TRS unbalanced (600 Ω), XLR male balanced (<300 Ω) Need a small, portable, quality and unbelievably inexpensive pre-amp? Look no further than Sweetwater and ART for the amazing Tube MP! The ART Tube MP Studio V3 is a more sophisticated incarnation of previous, similarly styled ART valve preamps, and it has the same preset OPL (output protection limiter) settings and Variable Valve Voicing tonal enhancements used in ART's DPS II. Hybrid tube/solid-state circuitry is used, the dual-triode 12AX7 tube being run from a relatively low voltage. Mains power comes via an AC adaptor. The preamp itself comes with presets for certain instruments or vocal types, although after experimenting with these, I don't always go with their suggestions depending on the tone I'm after. With the Tube MP, what you see is what you get. And in this case, it's not so much. Connectivity is quite ample, gain staging is sufficient for nearly any input source, phantom power and phase reversal are nice, and the limiting is a nice option but not all that great. Then the is the gate that everything is ok it's cheap, but hey, after a while we thought he would maybe put some more.USED products: 4% of the current new selling price to increase the warranty from 3 months to 1 year. 4% for each additional year.
