Leaf spends his days, alone in his dark cave. The animals are afraid of him and run away when they see him, they don’t talk to him but they talk about him. This tale of acceptance gently highlighting the plight of polar bears in today's changing climate had me enraptured from start to finish.

I adore pop-up books. The craftsmanship of most of them is remarkable. But, they are pricey and little ones can easily tear them. But, I think Leaves: An Autumn Pop-Up Book by Janet Lawler is worth the risk. This one is best used as a read aloud or with adult supervised one-on-one exploring.Fall Walkby Virginia Brimhall Snow is super informative and engaging book that you will want to take on a walk. Kids will learn to identify different leaves. The book even has directions for pressing leaves. This book is part of a seasonal walk series.
