If you're looking to physically connect to The Three - and not by petting the speaker grille like we did - there are a number of ways to do so. The Three supports not only Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, which we'll talk about in a moment, it also connects via 3.5mm auxiliary, analog RCA, USB, and even a phono input for a turntable. That's right, you can connect The Three directly to your record player. This might be the most versatile wireless speaker we've ever reviewed. The only other connection we could think of adding is Optical, like we found on the RIVA Festival, but there are plenty enough options here. Sadly, we didn't have a turntable to test out, so please share your experiences with us if you do. All the other analog connections work well, but we find ourselves mostly pairing through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. The Klipsch is a single chassis powered speaker. The cabinet is a sealed box design and makes use of a pair of 2.25-inch ‘full range’ drivers that are augmented by a single 5.25-inch sub with another pair of 5.25-inch passive radiators acting to augment the performance. They must be doing something right because not only does Klipsch claim a low end frequency response of no less than 45Hz - and this is at a claimed +/ 3dB (i.e. the more rigorous of the two measurement settings generally allowed for this) - which suggests that there shouldn’t be any shortage of low end shove. Power is given as 60 watts continuous at fairly acceptable distortion levels. Deep voices are accentuated with a low rumble - most likely thanks to the passive radiators, which we'll talk more about below. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, however, and certainly not unpleasant to listen to. The extra boost means you can hear the words loud and clear from across the room. If you want to avoid the boominess, we suggest keeping your sound at a moderate volume, and avoid placing it in a corner where the bass might get trapped. Despite this, The Three is one of the more balanced wireless speakers we've come across, and we'd recommend it for all your at-home listening needs. The Klipsch The Three II has an overall score that puts it among the better home speakers we’ve tested, especially in our Advanced category. The device scored well in timbre and dynamics, and had decent scores for the spatial and volume attributes. In artifacts, its score was below average. The tuning of the device is not ideal for TV viewing. Voices aren’t well-rendered and high-mids can be harsh. This being a Klipsch, it also proudly boasts of state-of-the-art sound, with two 2 1/4” full-range drivers and a 5.25” long-throw woofer. As for the soundstage, The Three impressed us on the width and depth of its sound - especially given its size. Despite the fact that this isn't a 360 degree speaker, like the Solis SO-7000 ( full review here), we could have been fooled into believing it was, given how impressed we were with its powers and abilities to create such a wide field, and demonstrate power usually seen in much larger speakers. Whether you're standing directly in front of The Three or off to the side, you'll get a balanced sound that beats out most speakers in this price range. The Klipsch The Three II is a speaker that offers impressive sound quality and a sleek design. With its compact size, it is suitable for various spaces, such as living rooms, bedrooms, or offices.Klipsch's The Three sounds fantastic, and while it isn't cheap, it certainly performs to our expectations for this price range. Its retro design is matched with a thoroughly modern, multi-room-capable wireless streaming app that's easy to use. Throw in RCA connections for turntables and stereo gear, and you have a versatile, excellent-sounding system. Most speakers we encounter that try to do this much end up being a pain to operate, but nothing about The Three's operation is annoying, and its audio performance is impressive. The Three sounds much better if we provide it with a Wi-Fi signal, so it’s worth taking a moment to configure the network connection. The sound diameter is warm and pleasant to listen to. Human voices sound very coherent and natural, and the high detail and outstanding separation only reinforce positive feelings. Of course, a good stereo system will offer us a higher sound culture and stage experience, although it is hard to objectively compare the sound classes of such different audio systems. High tones are slightly brightened and abundant. Klipsch does not withdraw anything, it does not hide or mask anything. It provides everything that we should hear in the upper registers. With its built-in Google Assistant and voice control capabilities, the Klipsch The Three II offers convenient hands-free operation. Users can easily control their music and other smart devices using voice commands.

With a Bluetooth connection, the sound can be exaggerated, and unpleasantly sharpened, but with Wi-Fi, this problem does not occur. As a single loudspeaker, it does not create an equally wide soundstage as two loudspeakers do – it is probably obvious. Such beauty in such solutions. The matter of selectivity of sounds is completely different, which is fantastic. Even elaborate musical arrangements using a multitude of instruments sound very clear and selective on Klipsch. All this means that you can successfully listen to large ensembles, such as a symphony orchestra, on this device. Klipsch The Three II Video Review
