Since I never felt the romantic tension between the characters, I could care less about whether or not they got together and the air of mystery keeping them apart just made me more frustrated. Had we seen them together, perhaps my feelings for them would have grown. But alas, they did not.The Man Who Didn't Call - UK title or Ghosted - US title -has published in 35 languages. I still can't believe it! When life finally pulls these two lovebirds out of their romantic cocoon, Eddie promises Sarah he’ll call…BUT…he never does. Will I read another book by this author? No. The writing was good and I’m sure she will have long career but I’m not into her type of stories. That’s okay. Not every authors style will match what a reader is looking for. A perfect read if you loved Me Before You or One Day -- Sarra Manning, author of You Don't Have to Say You Love Me I highly recommend Ghosted to readers who are looking for a story that digs a little deeper into the emotional side with a twist that might leave you surprised. If you are looking to connect to these characters based on their relationship and love story alone this might not be the one for you. As always we recommend you give it a try to find out where you might land with this story.

It took until I reached the 50% mark for me to get into this. I found the first half boring and Sarah’s obsession with Eddie began to grate on my nerves. Since the reader only gets glimpses of her time with Eddie vs. being immersed in their time together, I didn’t feel their connection and began to wonder if Sarah was mentally ill. I was going to DNF and began scrolling through my tbr to plan my escape. But I had some questions about Sarah and came up with a crazy theory, so I kept on reading to see if I was right about her--I was completely wrong. Ghosted starts off a bit slow and weighted down a bit as we are introduced to a story that seems like boy meets girl and they fall in love, but there is much more going on in this story than meets the eye though. For some of us we started to see a different story here hidden in the coincidences of this love story that really isn’t a love story. This is where we started to split as some of us did not buy into the love story and wanted to see more into the relationship between our two main characters Sarah and Eddie. Sarah blinded by love and what started off as an intense happy feeling of love and bliss soon turns into an obsession of thoughts as Sarah tries to find out the truth. Walsh’s book dragged at times and she was redundant at several points throughout the book with the theme but overall Walsh created a story worth the finish. But what I do believe in, wholeheartedly, is risk-taking. I was willing to take a big risk when I met my partner, and I believe completely in Sarah when she takes a big risk with Eddie. Because that readiness to put ourselves in emotional danger is what makes love exhilarating and beautiful, for me – it has nothing to do with some sense of destiny as your eyes meet those of a stranger’s across a room.
