Wash, wax, and seal your cars paint if you are paranoid, I'm glad I did and I'll tell you why later on. I use Klasse sealer if you are wondering.

Don't hang calipers from the brake lines, this will damage the flexible lines. Get some heavy-duty wire or coat hangers to use to hang your calipers from if you don't intend to remove them from the car completely. They will need to hang while the paint cures. When buying partner items like this one, your contract of sale will be with our Range Plus Partner instead of us. I will highly suggest you get a couple of sets of hobby brushes to do this job. The little 1/2 inch wide brush was perfect. You might want an even smaller one for really detailed areas. Use masking tape on all the spots where you DON'T want this stuff. Keep it off your brake rotor surfaces, etc.. you don't want paint or oils on there, keep those super clean. That stuff will embed itself into your brake pads later and reduce effectiveness and cause weird surging,etc.Get yourself some mineral spirits to keep on hand for cleanup, you don't want to be without it in case of an accident. You will also need it to clean your brushes if you don't intend to throw them away between coats.

Remove wheels from the vehicle following the manufacturer’s guidelines. Use steel brush to remove loose dirt & rust deposits from the surface to be painted. Use brake parts cleaner to remove all traces of grease, dirt, dust, brake fluid, oil and moisture from surface to be painted. It is not necessary to remove brake calipers or drums prior to painting, although masking-up of brake hoses, bleed screws & other rubber components in the surrounding area is strongly recommended. Open paint and stir thoroughly. Now, your calipers should gleam and shine with their brand new paint. To finish off the look, you could clean your alloys and tyres. How Long Does Caliper Paint Take To Dry?Now it's time for the paint. Regardless of colour or brand, apply the paint evenly by spreading on one thin coat at a time. PREP properly, I started with brake cleaner and a wire brush (even though my car was brand new). Use a de-greaser if your brakes are in rough condition, it HAS to be clean. Finish off with carb cleaner. All traces of oils HAVE to be removed. Protect your eyes and skin!

So first, remember how toxic this stuff can be. Use medical gloves or something and long sleeves, and use only in well ventilated (outside) areas. This isn't a joke, this stuff contains Isocyanates. Try keeping it off your skin and avoid the vapors. If you are doing it outside and not sniffing the can, you should be Ok without a respirator. I'm not trying to scare anyone away from it, just use common sense and you'll be fine. This is not normal paint though, the Isocyanates are quite nasty. Do your own research and be safe. Make sure the surface is dry, then apply paint with brush provided in a thin, even coat avoiding runs or droplets. Leave to dry for 30 minutes before applying a second coat. Repeat process until desired effect is achieved. Leave to dry for a further 2 hours before refitting the wheels. The vehicle should not be driven for a further 24 hours to allow paint to harden. On some surfaces you may need to apply two or three coats to achieve the desired finish. No matter your choice, when painting the calipers, be sure to avoid painting the brake discs or surrounding areas. Doing so may impact the functionality of your brake discs, making it hard to stop your car once it's in motion. Likewise, splashing paint on the surrounding parts can lead to jamming or an unclean appearance. The application process was a breeze. The 8 fluid ounces provided ample coverage, and the paint went on smoothly without any streaks or clumps.
