One place the JVC does trip up is in its latency. Even in its built-in Game mode, the TV displays a lag of 42ms. The result was even worse than the 33.8ms achieved by the Hisense A7100, which doesn’t have a game mode at all. Picture quality Upscaling is somewhat disappointing. While the image is sharp, colours appear washed out compared with the TV’s handling of native 4K content. To be honest though - if you're concerned about things like processor speed and RAM, then you should really be avoiding JVC altogether. JVC TVs are made by Vestel and pretty-much exclusively for Currys. Spending a decent amount of money on a Vestel TV with only a 1 year warranty may not end up being a good move. LG, Samsung, Philips (etc) all make 65" TVs in a similar price range that will most likely be a better bet than JVC, plus will usually come with a 5 or 6 year warranty if you buy them elsewhere. At first, I tested this feature on a 1080p Blu-ray of The Martian, before moving on to a 480p and then an HD version of Arrested Development. Colours looked rather drab, which made the image less lifelike, although the upscaling overall was smoother and less noisy than that I experienced with the Hisense 50A7100FTUK. Sound quality

The JVC fared a little better than expected in our testing. In SDR mode, its default Standard picture preset puts out a maximum brightness of around 369cd/m² and achieves a very respectable contrast ratio of 5,329:1 even with all the contrast– and colour-enhancing features turned off. Fire up HDR mode, and peak brightness increases to 400cd/m² while contrast remains high at 5,358:1. The JVC LT-55CF890 features two 20W speakers that support DTS HD and DTS Virtual:X. Unlike the 50- and 65-inch models, there’s no Dolby Audio. However, DTS Virtual:X does a good job of creating a large, immersive sound.

The biggest issues with the JVC, however, are that it struggles with both motion and upscaling – two key performance elements of any self-respecting 4K TV. I didn’t expect much given the 60Hz refresh rate, but the panel’s slow response time is painfully obvious. It’s not too noticeable in brighter scenes, but detail and colours are smudged by horrible blur in darker moments. Similarly, while images look crisp in 4K when the camera is moving slowly, fast action and sports shows up the panel’s limitations, with detail becoming flattened and indistinct. The 4K display supports Dolby Vision and HLG HDR formats, and the speakers take advantage of both DTS HD and DTS Virtual X audio. But, how does it perform? Design

Those colours aren’t as intense as they should be in HDR mode, though, so don’t expect the kind of eye-popping colour which you get from pricier sets – the JVC covers a mere 70% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, which is far less than even many mid-range TVs. By the same metric, even LG’s affordable UM7400 managed to cover 82% of DCI-P3. The TV comes in three sizes – 40in, 49in and 55in – and all three have support for the HLG, HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats. That means you should be able to enjoy streaming HDR content from any of the main providers, with the added bonus that you’ll get the best results on any streaming service with Dolby Vision support, which currently includes Disney+ and Netflix. You'll sometimes see specific processor details on high-end sets from other manufacturers, but rarely on cheap TVs unless it's something generic like 'Quad Core' etc. I've never seen RAM specs mentioned on any TV I've ever looked at and I'm not sure what you mean by disk ?Like JVC TVs, many of the cheaper Panasonic LCDs are also made by Vestel, however the 6-year warranty and (potentially) better support by Panasonic themselves would make the Panasonic/Richer Sounds combination a far better bet than JVC/Currys with a 1 year warranty, IMO.
