With the Gundam Aerial severely damaged, it is sent to Prospera Mercury to be repaired and overhauled into the XVX-016RN Gundam Aerial Rebuild. Elan's Japanese voice actor, Natsuki Hanae, also voiced Biscuit Griffon in Mobile Suit Gundam IRON-BLOODED ORPHANS. However, it was revealed that the reason he reached out to Suletta was because he believed she was just like him, someone "cursed" by the Gundam. Upon learning about what made Aerial different from the Gundam he knew as well as Suletta's treatment of the mobile suit, he felt "betrayed" and even outright made a loathing remark toward her, how she was such an "annoying" person. An electromagnetic stun beam hits Lauda's Dilanza's right wrist, causing it to drop its beam rifle. Guel resorts to impacting the ground with the beam axe which causes a very large cloud of regolith to form. Counting on the regolith to stop the electromagnetic stun beams from touching him, Guel advances but just as he is about to close in on the Pharact, the joints stop working. All the GUND-BITs now aim at Lauda's Dilanza, now that it is totally immobilized. Shaddiq comments that he fell right into Elan's trap. Rouji adds that Elan used the conductivity of the electromagnetic beams to give the regolith an electrostatic charge. When the dust adhered to the joint drive parts, it created an overload. That key factor was actually caused by Mr. Guel himself. Peil Technologies had wiped the memories and altered the faces of Enhanced Persons to that of Master Elan.

Aerial's name could be a reference to the character Ariel (a spirit who aids the protagonist, Prospero, in William Shakespeare's The Tempest). While each of his shown doubles wears different earrings, the real Elan does not wear earrings at all. The arms don't have the most impressive elbow bend that I've seen, but it's not really a big deal with this kit. The legs are a bit easier to articulate than the Aerial, for example, but the feet are *weird*. They're stable, but they're just soooooo long. I do enjoy that you can fold the feet into a point for more of a flying/space configuration, though. It reminds me ever so slightly of the Woundwort when they're folded like that. The Peil Grade, Peil Technologies' unique AI, had selected Elan Ceres as the next CEO of the company. However, when the dueling games over Miorine began, the company needed a body double to attend Asticassia School of Technology and fight duels in his place. This, as well as the need for guinea pigs for Peil's development of Gundam-type mobile suits, necessitated the creation of Enhanced Persons [4]. By A.S. 122, the fourth such Enhanced Person was attending the academy as a third-year student in the piloting department and leader of Peil House.

At the lounge, Shaddiq serves as the duel's observer. According to Secelia, it's been a while since they've seen a duel among the three branches. Guel Jeturk's stake in the duel is that Elan (whom Guel refers to as a jerk) stays away from Suletta Mercury. Suletta objects to Guel deciding that on her behalf. Guel retorts that Elan is her enemy as he is from one of the three branches but Suletta points out Guel is too. Shaddiq tells her the duel is between Guel and Elan and if she's unhappy with the result, she can fight another duel herself. Elan's stake is to duel Suletta, which she agrees to without a second thought. Elan is a taciturn and solitary person, who doesn't open his heart to anyone in school. He has an interest in Suletta Mercury. [1].The product in the image is a prototype still in its developmental stage. The product is also painted. The actual product may appear differently from the image. For all of the joy and drama of hanging out with Asticassia’s students, it’s the most recent episode that may become most ingrained in the memory. Gory and jaw-dropping, it delivers on the ominous promise of the prologue, exploding both mechs, bodies, and its carefully established character relationships all in one crushing, awe-inspiring 20 minutes that reminds just how easy the show’s mobile suits make it to take a life, after a whole season of bloodless combat. Even Suletta’s clumsy charm ends up weaponized. As well as evoking religion in its corporate structures (the anti-Gundam organization is called Catherdra), Ōkouchi also wields Shakespeare in the building of The Witch From Mercury’s story. This occurs in forms both amusingly obvious – Suletta’s mother goes by Lady Prospera, their mobile suit is called Aerial, there’s a random guy offscreen called Hamlet – as well as tragic, such as in the season’s end point for poor Guel Jeterk’s paternal angst and continual humiliation. The Pharact was first utilized in a duel between Elan Ceres and Guel Jeturk. It displayed high performance under Elan's piloting by easily outmaneuvering the Dilanza in low gravity. It was then utilized in a duel against Suletta Mercury piloting the Gundam Aerial in which - despite its high performance - it was ultimately disabled and defeated by the Aerial.

These blue beams indicate output intended for actual combat. While the blue beams were included or depicted with early merchandise releases, the Aerial is never seen using blue beams in the anime. That's because the Aerial is depicted with green colored beams that have output abiding to Asticassia School of Technology limits. Such releases include:The grim prologue is a stark warning that the tense but relatively peaceful status quo cannot last, especially at a school for burgeoning war criminals. In the early episodes, the focus remains on building up these relationships through high school hijinks, though that doesn’t mean that it’s a slow burn nor that it skimps on the robot fights -- in fact it introduces a fun new angle on them too. Asticassia comes with the unique quirk in that honor duels in mobile suits are used to settle any level of dispute -- from petty grievances and apologies, to arranged marriages. More often than not, these moments make it most clear that the students are used as pawns in the schemes of their technocratic parents.
