After reading though I appreciated that Jenny Han wrote her character with such flaws because even though as a reader I was sometimes annoyed, I was able to see the realism behind the character. I think this book would be good for all primary levels, even KS2, as it deals with quite a dark theme, and if this was required, it's a great book for it.

When I started To All the Boys I've Loved Before, I expected it to be a fun and fluffy contemporary I would enjoy for it's cuteness and that would be about it. This helped me realise that death and losing a loved one might need some explanation within a class setting. Cathy Kelly has written a emotional book that has you laughing , outraged on behalf of characters , sad and mesmerised by the story. The story is about four friends, a mole, fox, hare and otter who live together in a house in the woods. The one constant was Clouds Hill spa that brought a calmness to the plot and the ladies together making them realise the truth , their strength and what they can be.

It really is touching and would certainly help the children realise that there are things they can do to feel better. To All the Boys fans will already know that the trilogy of films is based on a series of books by Jenny Han and there are a few key differences between the novels and the movies which they are based on.The "turmoil" from Cloud's Hill Spa owner also was a bit of a disappointment even though that's a horrible tragedy - I just thought there would be more of an edge to it. Lara Jean is torn between going there and the plan she and Peter had made, but she ultimately explains her decision to go there.

Although in my case, I am the oldest and I should probably be the Margot in the family, I can't help but think that I am the Lara Jean to my own story.
