In a true testament to Freddie's immense talent, every guest vocalist had to have the key of the songs changed to suit their voices as they could not replicate the range of Mercury's. The flamboyant Mercury was always in his element before gigantic crowds like the one that filled Wembley one last time, and his stand-ins for the occasion -- Gary Cherone (then of Extreme), Roger Daltrey, Joe Elliott (Def Leppard), James Hetfield (Metallica), Elton John, Annie Lennox, George Michael, Liza Minnelli, Robert Plant, Axl Rose (Guns N' Roses), Seal, Lisa Stansfield, Paul Young, and Zucchero -- were artists who both knew how to work such audiences and also had at least some of his flair for performing.

After comparing it to the full screen VHS release, I found very little was masked, the DVD was framed *very* well. On 24 June 2013, Queen announced on their Facebook page that a new remastered version of the concert would be released in late 2013 on DVD and Blu-ray.Books, media, tickets, Rammstein, Die Ärzte, Die Toten Hosen, Feine Sahne Fischfilet, Broilers, New Balance, Böhse Onkelz, Funko Pop! The US release also omitted Bob Geldof's performance of "Too Late God", and Zucchero's performance of " Las Palabras de Amor". Featuring David Bowie, Roger Daltrey, John Deacon, Def Leppard, Guns 'N' Roses, Elton John, Annie Lennox, Seal, Robert Plant, Paul Young and Zucchero.

Again, Elton somewhat croaks through the song and the chorus sounds a bit weak but May's soaring solo saves it from being just average.You can change the cookie settings and revoke your permission at any time on the cookie policy page . Previous DVD release was re-formatted by the producers to fit a 16x9 shape and they used the usual means to do this (cut off top and bottom and a bit a stretch) so the 4:3 actually means you are watching the show as it was recorded.

Def Leppard released their version of "Now I'm Here" (with May) from the concert, as a B-side to their single " Tonight" in April 1993.Regardless, for the quality alone I recommend purchasing the DVD BUT keep your VHS copies as it has more of the songs.

Brian, Roger and John went on to finish Freddie's last recordings for the "Made In Heaven" album in 1995.It went without a hitch with Lennox powerfully delivering Freddie's lines (and molesting Bowie on stage. I think there was some bands which didn't want to have their songs on the DVD because they felt that they gave a bad performance. Sound quality is very good with a DTS Hi-Res format that I have not seen/heard before but it comes across well with a good, punchy, soundtrack.
