On the other hand, the tightness gives a great seal, so the isolation is top notch. Ear pads are soft and good quality, although heat does build inside up when worn for long periods. Specs HESH rounds were fielded mainly by the British Army as the main explosive round of its main battle tanks during the Cold War. If you rather not take a risk on the build quality, I would recommend going for the Skullcandy Hesh 2 Wireless instead. Other than the battery life (15hr vs 22hr) and aesthetics, the Skullcandy Hesh 2 is pretty much similar to the Hesh 3 except with a more stable frame. Skullcandy Hesh 2 WirelessTo be clear, the headphones aren’t built for audiophiles — but they do sound pretty good. The sound is tuned for consumers, and as such has a classic EQ tuning — boosted lows and highs, and a slight dip in mids. Apart from the frequency response, we didn’t experience any distortion except at unsafely loud levels. Performance The Skullcandy Hesh 3 pairs well with neutral or dark sounding sources to give the headphones a little more bass if that’s your thing. There was ample padding in both the ear cups and in the headband, which was very helpful in keeping the headphones decently comfortable. Sound In general, the Skullcandy Hesh 3 Wireless headphones are decently built, and while the build quality leaves a little to be desired and we would have liked a carry case or bag, those things aren’t deal-breakers. Comfort The soft, well-padded pad that sits between the top of your head and the headband somehow feels bigger than its actual below-average size.

Issue: Not seeing the LED light on Hesh 3® that indicates headphones are charging. Or, not seeing green LED light on Hesh 3® that indicates headphones are finished charging, despite charging for 1+ hours .

Performance

The over-ear headphones are mainly plastic with a metal headband. Build quality is subpar (more about that later). The ear cups, however, boast a modern matte finish that both looks and feels good, and not being a fingerprint magnet is a big plus. The young, cool vibe the device exudes is designed to go with the casual look. Buttons Bass is still emphasised, but it’s closer in style to other street headphones, with less of a swamping effect. Mids are slightly recessed, but are much better defined than those of the Motorola Escape Pulse+. There’s some texture and detail here, with none of the boxy or flat sensibility demonstrated by some entry-level wireless headphones. The earcups have a nice soft-touch matte finish that adds a more premium feel and looks to them. Swivel points on the earcups are also quite robust, and we like that they allow the Hesh 3 to be laid flat on a table. If you like hard-hitting bass and are not looking for audiophile-grade headphones, you will love the sound of the Hesh 3. Yes, it might not be as refined as the notes, but it has the ability to throw out a lot of bass quantity.
