After numerous teachers have tried everything they could think of, she therefore gets put in a room with a man-eating tiger. Therefore this is little character development (though the Rani’s aunt is annoying in only a few lines). Neil Gaiman's work has been widely adapted for film and TV, including films of Coraline and Stardust, and adaptations of American Gods, Good Omens (written with Terry Pratchett) and How to Talk to Girls at Parties are in the works for 2017. The tiger is "huge and fierce, a nightmare in black and orange, and he moved like a god through the world, which is how tigers move.

This is a story written by Neil Gaiman some 20 or so years ago, inspired by a sculpture of a girl riding a tiger. But what this magnificent creature does for Cinnamon is to demonstrate the magnificence of the world he inhabits - the chattering of the monkeys and the smell of the dawn and the taste of the moonlight and the noise a lakeful of flamingos makes when it takes to the air. Using a measured approach and traditional artisanal techniques, become immersed in the ‘theatre of baking’ with wholesome breads, delicate pastries, heavenly cakes and indulgent chocolates. Her concerned parents offered a room in the palace, a field of stunted mango trees and a portrait of the Rani's aunt to anyone who could make her talk. There's some scariness because the tiger is a fierce "man-eater," and he eats the embittered old aunt.Inside you’ll find colourful inner covers, and alternating ruled and blank pages for writing and doodles.
