With traditional bourbons, the grain component must use a mash which is more than 70% corn. The remaining portions of the bourbon are made up of barley and rye (The ingredient used to make Woodford Reserve Bourbon). These types of bourbon usually have a balanced flavor consisting of both spiciness and sweetness.
