I really enjoyed the overall cast, though that plot twist had me like "ummmm…" Yeah, definitely NOT liking that one character! :p But I am hyped for volume two! Unfortunately for her and the motley crew I’ve become so fond of, Lilia, the game’s heroine who was just revealed to be the holy maiden, is also a reincarnated person! That means Lilia is also armed with the knowledge of how the game is intended to play out. As a result, she helps cook up a plan to separate Claude from Aileen. The end game for this awful excuse for a heroine is that, as Maiden of the Holy Sword, she’ll slay Claude in his demon form and live happily after. But, to get him to that mental state where he loses control and transforms, she has been scheming to separate him from Aileen. You should watch this show if you have an infatuation with the isekai/otome game genre and a thing for lord claude.

The artwork also has a nice flow and movement, as I am always baffled how hair can be drawn as being so alive and fluffy.Anyways, the main thing that made me write this review was what seems to be overlooked a lot in these underrated, non-widespread seasonal anime: its OP and ED songs. I’ve started a new manga series again. I’m convinced that summer is the season of manga for me, seeing as I’m lagging when it comes to reading novels. The good thing is there’s only one book out for this one. It’s a good thing because I don’t have a bunch of books to catch up on, but it’s also a terrible thing because now I’m left on a cliffhanger. I know this is having an anime soon, so my only choice is to wait for that to air… I didn't really get the gist of it. Maybe the author wanted to say that even in the game love and friendship work wonders and solve many issues, change the fate, but most likely the anime is just a normal isekai, covered with the feelings of the main characters. Some characters are revealed, discarded, and what is timeless is the beauty and allure of the prince of darkness, Claude. By the way, I would argue with the word "darkness." After all, all the darkness is crows, furry critters, cyclops, and green-haired helpers... Seriously, they even have a fortress? A fortress for one man, two demons and beasts...that's "darkness." However, it is easier said than done, as Claude distrusts her intentions. Instead of giving up, Aileen adamantly tries to win his heart by helping Claude fulfill his wish: to build peace between humankind and demonic beasts. But time is running out, and it is up to Aileen to change the course of not only her tragic ending but Claude's as well. Somehow, Aileen, our protagonist waking up as a villainess, falls a bit flat: I had some trouble connecting with her motivations and how her feelings develop. Perhaps it's me, though, or again the shortness of the story. Some side characters their development is minimal - some more than others though so the more lovable ones you will still see flowering into bloom as the story evolves.

And this is where this last volume of the series loses some points from a perfect score. The gross trope that we all see too often is to separate the female lead and either make it seem like she’s been assaulted (or go through with the disgusting act). To attempt to ruin her in the eyes of her loved ones, the narrative branches into the ‘Fridging Female Character in Comics’ trope, and I absolutely hate it. But, alas, it is used to trigger the mayhem that follows Claude’s transformation. Despite this stumble, there’s plenty that I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss Volume 3does right. For example, a significant role reversal between Lilia and Aileen in a final showdown speaks wonders to being accountable for your actions and deserving of happier endings. The way the antagonist's (or, in the game's set-up, the protagonist) character develops is quite unique as well and really gives the story a 180° turn. For the short length of 3 volumes I find most characters are going through their own developments quite splendidly, including some side characters.
