Overdrive is literally what you get when a tube is pushed beyond its voltage limits causing a clip in the top of the waveforms resulting in a slight warm, fat and sometimes, sizzly tone.

By putting the DR600 after the pod-go (and, a la effects loop using the Zoom MS-70CDR), I free up those four precious unused blocks on the pod-go for other things. They may not be as tough as a Boss or Digitech, but for the money they hold up pretty well and if they do break down on you, just toss and replace with another like pedal. The main problems with the pedal are the housing is made of plastic, there's absolutely no shielding inside, and it's not an actual stomp switch but rather a small button that's pressed by a peg on the foot pedal.The "Tone" knob turned all the way down still has a bit too much high-end for my liking, and not enough low-end, so that all modes sound a bit "Platey" if that makes sense. You have the tried and true Boss sound that you have come to expect with some added custom features not available on the original models.
