The B2 and B2SP use Korg’s NH ( Natural Weighted Hammer Action) keyboard, which is identical to the keys of the previous B1 series. The knob, however, it feels a little bit cheap because it doesn’t have much resistance, but at least precise volume changes are possible. While SuperNATURAL is an excellent sound engine, I personally think the B2 has the edge in sound. The pianos feel a bit more detailed on Korg’s B2, but it comes down to personal preference in the end. If you are going to be using this Korg in piano lessons I think the addition of these digital sounds will add another level of fun and creativity to the sessions. As you will see below, some of the competitors have much more voices included into their instruments, so this is not the best side of B2. But I need to pay tribute, the quality of the voices is decent. We looked previously at their D1 digital piano, which was an enjoyable experience, featuring excellent sounds and one of the better key actions in that price range. The German Concert Pianois a default sound that is more suited for classical pieces with its deep bass frequencies.

The strings are passable. These sounds are normally used for layering with a piano, but that mode isn’t present on the B2. In isolation, this sound is limited in its application.Unsurprisingly, the B2 is Korg's sequel to the relatively popular B1 digital piano, and like its precursor, this piano is designed to be one of the best digital pianos for beginners. The B2 sits alongside two variants, the B2SP, which comes with a stylish stand and a three-pedal unit and the B2N, which opts for a lighter keyboard and different speaker set.
