Later, Maximoff video-calls Xander. Xander tells him their parents are holding a parents-only party to celebrate his license suspension. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love the characters, no, I definitely cried MORE — if that’s even possible — than I did the first time I read it. I related sm to parts of the book and my heart hurt for what the characters were feeling including side characters. He literally deserves the world. Everything. His inner monologue is pure gold and so precious that I want to protect HIM from being hurt. The way he GETS Luna and sincerely loves her makes me want to cry. I can’t gush enough about him. Ugh I hate his rancid, rotten family! Donnelly loves the Cobalts and their histories and traditions, and I don’t blame him. They have an allure and magnetism that draws me in, too, but I’m constantly reminded I’m not them. The world sees Cobalts as impenetrable immortals, and I’m just a Hale. I’m meant to bleed.”

YuiK: anyone know what happened to Sullivan Meadows? News is saying something bad went down. Seems bad. I felt every little thing they did as if it were my own feelings and emotions put on the line. I cried like three times during this book from straight pain for them ❤️‍🩹 now now now did i expect to rate it so low? no but this was DRY af. no sexual tension, no angst, no drama. Damaged Like Us is my first book from the Ritchies (Krista Ritchie and Becca Ritchie) and I really struggled with it. The Donnelley farrow and Oscar trio still have me in a chokehold bc I loved every scene with them together this time around too.

Luna is so relatable in some ways which makes me want to scream and cry when she gets hurt or is met with any adversity. She’s so resilient and strong and I love her so much for how she persists with life. Her heart is so pure, the way she feels is so similar to Lily, and it shows. I can’t help but adore her for making the most of life. ALPHAS LIKE US was more than I could have ever hoped for. The bond that Maximoff and Farrow have is one of a kind and I adored and devoured everything about them from beginning to end. Chapter 25: At a family cookout, Farrow gets cornered by some of Maximoff's siblings and cousins so he'll promise to keep Maximoff safe. Audrey (Jane's sister) tries to make him do a blood oath. There are plenty of unexpected twists and turns in store for the foursome as the truth about the events preceding. is an enjoyable read with constant developments between the past and the present. There are several sub-themes woven into the primary setting of the novel. It is a great story with an imaginative plot, believable characters and most of all heart and wisdom. It is truly a gem of a book. It shows that love is timeless. It will make your heart want to explode. The author has a real talent with bringing believable events into the story to touch the heart and bring hope and healing to worthy individuals who need it most. All in all, this novel brings lots of joy, happiness, tears and great moral lesson for the readers of all ages.The last quarter: Ohmygosh THAT is what I wanted. I love the ending so much. It has emotional scenes, as well as sweet, heart-warming scenes. I’m glad to see the characters finally learn from their mistakes and make peace with the state of their life and actually appreciate what they have. They have gone through so much shit throughout this whole book, and I am relieved that they can find happiness among all of the chaos. Their priorities and values are in the right place. i know im a hater but this was cute, i like lunnelly together its just they shouldve been the first bodyguard romance in this series, its so water downed now that why would anyone even have a problem with them dating?
