Both of those factors will mean that we can expect the output to be less, and that’s what we see in fact. If budget is very constrained then this is a really good option if you want something with very good output. That's why I will probably stick with the Wurkkos, the light of which is very pleasant to look at (it also has higher CRI, which is good I suppose, but I don't really know how to tell the difference yet). The light is not that much larger than many of my other 18650 lights, and while those lights top out with batteries in the 3200mAh range, this one starts easily at 5000mAh. There’s very little need for the full bore output on this light, so lowering it only makes it easier to use for those not used to flashlights that could melt/burn things.

The button is blacklit rubber, but only lights up for battery status, which is silly and poor design. The above mentioned paramters are based on tests according to international flashlight testing standards (ANSI/NEMA FL1) using one 3,500 mAh 18650 Li-ion battery in our laboratory.

The emitter in this light is the Luminus SFT-40 and I have to say, for such a small LED, there is quite a bit of light output.

The FC11 is put together like a more expensive light, with thick anodizing, trapezoidal threads, and a well-sealed USB port. What I like about FC12 is the moonlight option - being able to go into our kids room without waking them up (via turning on the lights) looks super appealing.

Ceiling adjustment: Anduril also makes it really easy to adjust how bright the light gets, and with something like this — if you use it as a light for everyone you can quickly put a lower ceiling on it, or put it in ‘muggle mode’ for even more peace of mind.
