Federica and Marco are lovely people and we enjoyed getting to know them and try all of their family’s delicious product. I’ve tried a couple of recipes from this book this summer, but my favorite hands down has been this Tropea Onion Jam.

If looking to fly in, you may find more options by arriving into Napoli or Salerno airports, then jumping on a train or picking up your rental car there (that's what we did). However, I think the best would be white onions with a fairly pungent, but not overwhelming, flavour. You'll find several lidos and beach restaurants on entry from the main car park, but the beach then narrows down quite a lot due to the rocks and entranceways in front of the Marina Del Convento Camper Van Station.
