Because south-facing rooms are generally the brightest in the house, a brilliant white paint can often feel quite harsh, bouncing that strong light around even more. The best place to start is with whether you’d prefer a Gloss, Satin or Eggshell finish. These are the terms used to describe the level of sheen of the finished paint – basically how shiny it looks!
