Often I think that difficult stories have been tackled well - eg the story of Abraham being asked to sacrifice Isaac is often one which we gloss over with children, as many adults find it more difficult to comprehend than the children we are explaining it to, I think the author tells the story beautifully - I'm not an emotional person, but more than once have been choked up reading this! The title Lloyd-Jones gives to the classic story of Daniel in the lion’s den is, “Daniel and the Scary Sleepover.
