I would use this book in class by giving each children in the class a poem to read out on its specific day to encourage a love for poetry. I can see that it’s a poem per day that ties in with the season but the trouble is that some of the poems are very short/inferior. I Am the Seed That Grew the Tree is a lavishly illustrated collection of 366 nature poems – one for every day of the year. The poems are all about nature and people interacting with it, observing it, fearing or delighting over it.
