If you already do a double cleansing routine, use the face cloth in the first step, followed by your usual face cleanser. I’ll get round to writing about it one day 😛 I do a first round of makeup removal – eye makeup with eye makeup remover and then face with Bioderma just very quickly with 1 pass.

Also, although it says in the instructions that you can just rinse this off (think cleansing oil again – emulsify and then wash off) I find that it is best removed with a face cloth (I wish it was sold with one! I love this cleansing butter and would recommend it to everyone, especially if you have sensitive skin and over the colder months as it keeps my skin from going a little crazy because of the drop in temperature.

I really like the Antipodes one but I have to warn you that it doesn’t “wash” off like this or from what I understand, the Clinique one too. If you were to look at my skincare shelves, you could expect to see an array of high-end, luxury products. Particularly the “film” that is left after cleansing , forcing me to use another cleanser that foams up to clear it off (which is a bother as some of my cleansers only foams up a little ). I really wanted to like the sunscreen (since it’s so hard to find a decent physical one), but it goes on really shiny and it also has some shimmer in it. That said, I use this as a first step in my cleansing routine and use a different cleanser to actually clean.I really, really like the style and concept of the brand, but while the framboos serum is nice, it’s not amazing, so I haven’t made crazy efforts to get hold of more. NOTE: As a seller, you are solely responsible for the legitimacy of the product, and its images and descriptions. Once inside the skin, it hydrates, but not from the outside - putting pure water on the skin (hello long baths! A second round of cleansing usually gets rid of it, but for this reason, I am not a fan of this product.

Trying to finish off the various cleansers I have right now… but mostly because I am afraid that my skin won’t like a cleansing balm formula. Another claim that I feel I have to point out is that this product is supposedly »suitable for sensitive skin« — it’s not. I suppose I rather expected a little more or maybe I was spoilt by the truly sumptuous textured Antipodes Grapeseed Butter Cleanser. A huge amount of vitamin C serums cause my sensitive skin to flare up, but this serum has been a staple in my skincare routine for years. While I’m all too aware of the fact that harsh facial scrubs can leave skin compromised, I simply can’t part myself from this one. But it's not only a simple emollient, it regenerates and soothes the skin, protects it from external factors (such as UV rays or wind) and is also rich in antioxidants (among others vitamin A, E, F, quercetin and epigallocatechin gallate).

As with all products that get send out to bloggers after their release, this one had its stagelight moment a loooong time ago; you won’t find it mentioned in many monthly faves nowadays, but there’s still some popularity lurking underneath the surface. It does feel like wax, too light in texture even for my normal combination skin and that waxy film left on the skin really bothers me. Let me know how you find the Pixi cleanser – for some reason I’m not too excited, although I’m absolutely sure it works wonderfully.

It has quite a solid appearance in the tin - almost like hard candle wax or a slice of lard (anyone remember Trex? It’s definitely a smart thing to avoid with sensitive skin (and fragrance of any type - natural is just as allergic as synthetic, if not worse!
