Allow the grout to dry for 2-4 hours, then use a slightly dampened scouring pad to remove any residue from the surface of the tiles. The wider and deeper the joints are, the longer the full curing time of the grout. It may be necessary to give the tile surface a final polishing after 24 hours with a dry cloth. As the material dries through water evaporation, it will skin on the surface and keep the material beneath wet for much longer. Avoid subjecting the surface of the joint to water for at least 7 days. So you don’t want to try and make your own glitter grout from regular glitter.
