This list includes every racing wheel that is compatible with EA Sports WRC on PlayStation 5 consoles. There are some notable omissions such as the new Fanatec ClubSport DD+ wheel. While not included, we would expect this wheel and others which aren’t included on this list to work just fine. The only other caveat is the asphalt handling, which has been tweaked, but perhaps not for the better – at least, not for controller players. The sheer responsiveness of the cars on asphalt is acceptable on my Thrustmaster TS-XW racing wheel, but on a controller it’s extremely twitchy and very difficult to sling high-powered cars into drifts without oversteering instantly. I’ve tried dulling the sensitivity and adjusting the steering linearity but I don’t think I’ve found the right solution yet. Below are all racing wheels that will work with EA Sports WRC at launch on Xbox Series X|S consoles. This is a much shorter list than the PC wheel compatibility list above due to Xbox’s reduced compatibility with certain racing wheels. So I don’t know if I’ll like this game or not. Especially now that EA has their microtransaction-y hands all over it. I prefer the older games with the WRC branding, made by completely different developers. I’ve really only played WRC 9, so I can’t speak for the older games — or the two newer games in that series — but I feel like it has a better balance between realism and fun-to-play. But I might be in the minority in this opinion; it seems like most people prefer Dirt Rally.
