These measurements apply to single-storey extensions only, but some two-storey additions are allowed too. Simple but effective if you’re looking for a bed extension solution that’s easy to do and doesn’t cost much money (assuming you already have the additional bed frame). Weld additional metal onto the bed We have also decided to keep the bed extender in place for the duration of our holidays as it doesn’t restrict movement to and from the bathroom - it’s perfect!

Simply screw the headboard bolts into the other end of the spacers. Simple! The Double folding model is provided for double beds up to Super King Size, 4’ to 6’ wide (120cm and 180cm). It is provided in a carry bag, with headboard spacers and its own fitted sheet. The unit comes in all five standard colours. You don’t have to be playing in the NBA to be too tall for a standard bed. If you are over six feet tall a standard bed doesn’t provide you with the 4-6 inches of space recommended by the National Bed Federation.

Apply the total measurement (notch’s depth plus 76 inches) to the material you’d use for the new headboard and footboard. Cut wood planks from strong and sturdy wood to the required length depending on how far you would like to extend your bed. Add the depth measurement to 76 inches. If the headboard and footboard slide to a notch on both sides, double the measurement before adding to 76 inches.
