Description

Flush the inlet pipework and fully fill the pump with water by opening all the water outlets before electrically switching the pump on. It is critical to discharge water through all the outlets, using natural flow before switching the pump on electrically. This will ensure that the air has been discharged from the connecting pipe work and pump chamber. 7. Plug the pump in Choose a pumped model when mains water pressure and/or flow are low – or when you are not sure on your mains water pressure/flow. Choose unpumped only when flow is more than 9 l/min and pressure is 2.0 bar. However, it is not compatible with gravity-fed systems. If you have a gravity-fed system, you may need to explore alternative options, like a whole-house pump.

Installing a Home Boost isn’t particularly difficult. With a few tools, and a bit of DIY know-how, you can install the Salamander Home Boost, without paying a plumbing or heating engineer. Accumulator Tanks can offer even more flow than an inline pump, delivering up to 36 litres per minute. The AccuBoost range of accumulator tanks store water at pressure in the vessel and release this water into the system when there is demand in the property. They are available in a range of different tanks sizes, depending on your requirements, how many outlets you want to run at once and what space you have available in the property. Selected models will fit into a standard kitchen cupboard.

Pre-installation

SUITABLE FOR USE IN WHOLE HOUSE: When selecting the right pump for your home, it is important to note that you can go up the range, but never down. For instance, a whole home pump (e.g. CTForce 30PT) can power a shower alone, but a shower only pump (e.g. CT50 Xtra) can NOT power a cistern, taps, whole house etc. The Right Pumps 75TU pump is compatible with whole house applications, such as a bath, electric shower, wash basin, and washing machine.

As you can see, the HomeBoost inline pump is compatible with most mains-fed systems, including combi boilers, Megaflow systems, unvented cylinders, and pressurised systems.

The HomeBoost pump sits directly on the incoming mains water line and can boost flow to showers, baths, taps, cisterns, and washing machines. Unlike other pumps, the HomeBoost can detect when the flow is poor and only boosts flow when necessary. The Homeboost has undergone a makeover to fit in with the colour scheme of Salamander Pumps' new MainsBooster range(used to be green) and to show the robust brass body and brass connections that the product has. My Electric shower stops working in the morning due to low mains water pressure, will the Salamander Homeboost stop this happening.
