Description

Dwight is named after Dwight D. Eisenhower, the thirty-fourth president of the United States, who was previously a five-star general in the US army during World War II. The Cars Toons episode Air Mater introduced elements of Planes, including Propwash Junction, Dusty's hometown; [1] Skipper, his mentor; and Sparky, Skipper's assistant. Mater drops an allusion to Planes at the end of the short as he says that "They oughta make a whole movie about planes" and looks directly at the camera, presumably breaking the fourth wall.
