Like most other humans on this planet, we already own and have read the philosophers stone many many times but this copy was for my 8 year old daughter. I have to admit that I am now thirty-two, I have a big beard, I've played drums in multiple heavy metal bands and I now have three children.

She has written three companion volumes in aid of charity: Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (in aid of Comic Relief and Lumos), and The Tales of Beedle the Bard (in aid of Lumos), as well as a screenplay inspired by Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which marked the start of a five-film series to be written by the author. Jo loved living in the countryside and spent most of her time wandering across fields and along the river Wye with her sister. The story is now published as a book (hardback, ebook and audio) in the English language, and is translated into 26 languages, each edition with its own unique illustrations by children. During the next five years she outlined the plots for each book and began writing the first in the series, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which was first published in 1997.

K.
