I love that this tent has two doors because it really does transform your camping experience if you are sharing your tent. It also has sealed seams to protect you from the rain; these seams aren’t always present in Naturehike tents. This is a freestanding tent, able to resist strong winds thanks to a stable design, the ventilation is good with two air vents on the flysheet to prevent condensation.

Tipping the scales at 4 lb 11 oz (2.1 kg), the Mongar 2 is slightly on the heavy side for a two-person tent. The rainfly is available in 3 versions: 210T (lower quality, heavier), 20D, and 20D with an additional skirt. The floor though is always a weaker 150D PU3000, so bottom leaks and tears are a possibility if the tent is not used carefully.

The Cloud Up 2 is a slightly larger version of the Cloud Up 1. Officially, it’s a two-person tent, but it would be better for one person who wants more space to spread out or an adult and a child.Naturehike don’t give clear information for all versions, but do say 3 seasons against some Mongar versions. Looking at the specs and considering the Mongar has an all-mesh inner, we would say 2 to 3 seasons at best, depending where you plan to use the tent of course. (More on tent ‘seasons’ below). The centre spreader pole does allow for a lot of flex which causes the vestibules deform in high winds, but it never felt like the structure of the tent was in danger. The tent is secured by four guy ropes – two on either end – and eight other pegs securing the main structure. nylon is of course quite thin (a necessary trade-off if you want to keep weight down while maintaining size/capacity), and while fine for the flysheet it does feel a little on the thin side for the groundsheet, though I don't see this being a problem when used in combination with the footprint. The poles are 7001 aluminium which flex nicely when erecting and don't ever feel like they are being forced into place. The seams are not sealed, which can increase the risk of leaking in extended lousy weather. This is a shame in a tent of this price but due to the exceptional design, I’d still recommend it for cyclists.
