According to Ben Procter's concept art, Mixmaster originally had a friendly face based on that of actor Brendan Gleeson... and was apparently going to be an Autobot. The early head design was actually put to use in the Generation 1 Mixmaster-themed redeco store exclusive, as well as the Legends Mixmaster.However, a tenth vehicle is also present during the combination sequence just behind Hightower for a brief moment, this being a Volvo excavator with a Decepticon insignia (the same vehicle prop used for Scrapmetal in the early barge scene). Does this mean Scrapmetal is a part of Devastator or is this just a continuity error? Who knows. With compound hip and ankle joints and fixed-angle "knees", along with complex shoulder and bicep assemblies, this Devastator has far greater flexibility than any previous version, and as such can stand more erect than is typical for the character. Update: Several of our members pointed out that there are some non-official configurations for Devastator’s legs and head that will help you to display him in four-legged mode.Given that the film establishes multiple sets of Constructicons, it seems entirely possible that more than one "Devastator" could be formed.

Considering it needs to be fully integrated into a Voyager-sized figure, I think the head is fantastic, and the paint job is superb. All that rambling above, is basically me trying to say what I said when HasTak first reveal this project, that imho SS Devastator is the single most ambitious project(combiner or otherwise) they've ever done. Mixmaster was present in Egypt during Operation: Firestorm. He combined with his fellow Constructicons to form the mighty Devastator, forming the head. Studio Series Constructicon MixmasterI love this combined mode. Thanks to the nature of movie designs, he has details to look at for days. Not overly tall but is incredibly massive mass/volume wise. Makes for a gorgeous display piece. Put it in the middle of your house and people won't be able take their eyes off it.
