I’ve had a thought. i think that Daisy and Hazel stay alive but one of the Junior Pinkertons die but i’m not sure… I also wanted to tell you that on Thursday I saw The Mousetrap in London (which is why I couldn’t go to your London signing)! I assume you have probably seen it but if you haven’t you DEFINITELY should it’s AMAZING! All the kids had sheets where we could guess who the murderer was and write a question for the cast and afterwards they answered them. I love Agatha Christie and it’s incredible that the show has been running for 65 years. Daisy Wells and Hazel Wong are in Egypt, where they are taking a cruise along the Nile. They are hoping to see some ancient temples and a mummy or two; what they get, instead, is murder. Murder most unladylike reminds me a lot of Scarlet and Ivy by Sophie Cleverly. They are both such good book series! (Book 5 has the same thing with a new girl) Sadly, Sophie Cleverly released the final book of the series- book 6- this month, but I hope Murder most Unladylike will go on a lot longer than that! I think that the new girl will be hurt somehow in the woods, and Daisy and Hazel witness it but the new girl doesn’t know they did. And while Daisy had despised her and tried to avoid her, becomes intrigued after the new girl doesn’t tell anyone what happened and instead blames it on something else in the school. Then the new girl’s parents come down and start threatening to press charges, and Daisy and Hazel have to prove that it wasn’t the school’s fault and prove what happened in the woods.Ever since Mistletoe and Murder published in 2016, fans have been asking me whether I was ever going to write a story about Uncle Felix and Aunt Lucy’s wedding. And ever since Death Sets Sail published in August, fans have been asking me whether that book really was the end for the Detective Society, or whether I might return to Hazel and Daisy’s world with short stories about them to bridge the gap between Death Sets Sail and my new series set during WW2, The Ministry of Unladylike Activity. The Case of the Blue Violet ebook also contains a teaser chapter for Jolly Foul Play (just in case you’re not excited enough about it yet), and I’m delighted to be able to reveal its cover at last! Noooo…why do one of the detective society have to die? I hope it’s Amina, because she’s now part of the detective society AND she’s from Egypt. Maybe she’s going on holiday and the duo are invited? Or it could be Kitty, Beanie or Lavinia, but I don’t want them to die. I can’t stand Daisy or Hazel dying, though.

My friends and I have ‘A Spoonful of Murder’ as our number 1 out of the series because we all love Hazel, but we are wondering if this one will take its spot! Are you going to kill one of them off? Please don’t?all the comments here are about one of them dying. Hi Fay, there’s a very good reason – because Maudlin is not a real place! I’m very aware that there’s a Magdalen College in existance, but I didn’t want to use an actual location, so I created the name Maudlin (from the word that sounds the same but means sentimental or self-pitying, of course!). There’s a note at the front of the book to explain this – I promise your niece will never be under the impression that I just can’t spell!Thank you for all of your guesses, Detectives. You’ve been very clever – lots of you guessed that MMU 9’s cover would be gold, and some of you even suggested gold and blue! If you guessed it, bravo! And even if you didn’t … I really hope you like it! It was very exciting, and very heroic, and I was very brilliant and brave . . . Also ‘The murder on the Orient express’ is coming out this year, and I will definitely go and see it! Good old Agatha Christie!

PPS: Beanie is my favourite character because she’s so innocent and has her moments such as when she throws herself into * to stop her hurting the rest of the society and Binny! I know that it won’t be Death on the Nile, but I do wonder whether you will include Murder in the title again. BTW here’s an idea: Maybe you can let hazel marry Alexander and they have kids who start their own detective society???She’s a bit more grown-up than my books (mainly because everyone in them ARE grown-ups, with all of the usual grown-up problems), but there’s nothing in them that’s really gory or rude! I started reading them when I was 12 and never got upset by anything in them, although some of the murders scared me a bit. I think you should start with Murder on the Orient Express, or Death on the Nile. Those are two of my favourites! I only started reading the first book yesterday and I finished it yesterday. I love the series can’t wait to read them all. Daisy is my favourite character so can’t wait to read the case of the blue violet. Also, please could you update your event timetable, because I really would like to meet you and for to sign my books! You have also inspired me to write my own series. I am currently on my second book and in the process of publishing my first called An Abandoned Death. My second book is called Knife a hoy I’ve only just started it. Look out for them.
