After many failed attempts to mount a giant sword onto their grav platforms, the Storm Guardians have finally hit upon a solution. By replacing the heavy weapon with a powerful shield generator, these squads can sprint across the battlefield safe in the embrace of a glowing force field. When a PSYKER from your army manifests a psychic power from the Phantasmancy, Runes of Battle, Runes of Fate or Runes of Fortune disciplines, replace all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> or < SAEDATH> keyword on that psychic power (if any) with the name of the craftworld or saedath that your PSYKER is drawn from. If that PSYKER is an ANHRATHE unit, instead replace all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> ASURYANI CORE keywords on that psychic power (if any) with the ANHRATHE keyword and all instances of the < CRAFTWORLD> ASURYANI CHARACTER keywords on that psychic power (if any) with the ANHRATHE CHARACTER keywords.

The Aeldari are a long-lived race, but in the aftermath of the Fall, they faced a slow demise, and a horrifying afterlife – for Slaanesh has staked its claim on each Aeldari soul in death. In response, the Asuryani bound themselves to soulstones, which capture their souls at their deaths to prevent Slaanesh from taking them. Opponents of the Aeldari find them mercurial and elusive, and plans are sure to fail as these unpredictable skirmishers feign retreats and mask their presence. If your army is Battle-forged, ASURYANI Detachments gain the Leaders of the Warhost ability, and < CRAFTWORLD> units in those Detachments gain the Craftworld Attributes ability. This kit builds 10 Guardian Defenders, accompanied by a Heavy Weapon Platform. Guardian Defenders are versatile support troops, suited to holding objectives as they unleash withering hails of fire from their shuriken catapults. Their hovering Heavy Weapon Platforms can be fitted with a variety of powerful guns to sunder enemy armour or mow down swathes of infantry. This kit comes with a variety of accessories and 11 unhelmeted heads. You can also choose to build this kit as close-combat focused Storm Guardians. There’s a rich vein of fiction to explain the Aeldari in more detail. Gav Thorpe’s landmark omnibus, Path of the Eldar , covers many aspects of the Aeldari, while Ghost Warrior explores the newly formed Ynnari faction, and The Masque of Vyle focuses on the Harlequins.

If your army is Battle-forged, < SAEDATH> units in HARLEQUINS Detachments gain access to the following saedath rules, provided every < SAEDATH> unit in your army following a saedath is following the same saedath. If every < SAEDATH> unit in a HARLEQUINS Detachment is following the same saedath, that Detachment is referred to as a SAEDATH Detachment.

However, unlike the clumsy butchery of the other starfaring species of the galaxy, there is a beautiful violence to the way the Storm Guardians despatch their foes. Each saedath has an associated Saedath Stratagem. If your army includes a < SAEDATH> Detachment (excluding Auxiliary Support Detachments), then you will gain access to the relevant Saedath Stratagem. For the purposes of the Strands of Fate ability, HARLEQUINS and DRUKHARI units included in a YNNARI Detachment are considered to have the ASURYANI keyword. When an Aeldari Guardian dons his "war mask," his former life is supplanted by the thrill of battle. Thoughts of peace and tranquility are replaced with the desire to destroy his foes and secure glorious victory. Where once the dulcet tones of a star-harp would stir the Aeldari's spirit, at war the wailing song of the Shuriken Catapult and the blast of grenades are the sounds that set their heart racing.

Craftworld Warlord Trait: A Warlord Trait associated with one of the craftworlds. These are only available to WARLORDS that are part of a CRAFTWORLD Detachment (and only if they are drawn from the associated craftworld). This Solitaire is a mighty warrior, their strength honed in countless battles.This model gains 1 Damnation point. Add 1 to this model’s Strength characteristic.At the end of the battle, that unit controls an objective marker that is not in your deployment zone. The Thirsting Darkness could not be denied, drawing ever closer, even as the children of Isha fled before its dread tendrils. Surrounded by the gloaming mists, none could escape their onrushing doom.

Speed and precision are the name of the game, as most Aeldari units – from Aspect Warriors to Fire Prisms – can move fast and hit hard, but can’t weather much return fire. Aeldari armies are highly mobile, a specialised scalpel that can bring down a much more powerful opponent by careful application of incredible force. Few weapons in the Aeldari’s eclectic arsenal are as iconic or as feared as the prism cannon. A sophisticated firing array focuses a laser through a crystal prism to amplify shots into thin beams of light that lance through tanks or saturated pulses of energy that annihilate infantry. Multiple Fire Prisms can combine Linked Fire to chain beams of light from one prism to another to ensure their prey cannot escape.** When Farseers stand with their troops on the field, they can bring more acute powers to bear, enveloping whole units of the enemy in coruscating Eldritch Storms .Likewise, the humble shuriken catapults taken to battle by Guardian Defenders are more deadly than before. On top of the Shuriken ability we showed off earlier, these elegant armaments now have longer range and more reliable Armour Penetration – someone’s clearly sharpened the shurikens. The 5+ is actually really nice, and the mini Transhuman will also really help considering they are only T3. Meaning you should be able to get into range more often, but if they put a ton of fire into 1W models, we’re not sure how much it will change their survivability. New Eldar Stratagem While this WARLORD is on the battlefield, each time you or your opponent spends any Command points to use a Stratagem, you can roll one D6 for each Command point spent: on a 6, you gain 1 Command point. And so the Spectre of Despair haunted them for all their days. His dread grin was seen in every shadow, until his victims were convinced he could appear from thin air. When least expected he would do so, ethereal blades flashing, leaving only bodies wearing an expression of hopelessness.
