Our tester’s overall impression of the Joolz Aer is that it’s engineered to a very high standard. She hung her changing bag on the handlebar when her three-year-old was sitting in the buggy and asked her to jump out. In both instances, the Aer stayed put.

Australia WILL NOT be getting the full newborn recline that will be available in other parts of the world, which means we also will miss out on the updates to the seat recline mechanism. Again – it’s a refinement – not a big updated, but I love the way that Joolz as a brand do make these little changes with new models, even if only someone like me would even notice! Fractionally Bigger Basket As well as being awarded Best Luxury Lightweight Buggy 2020, we’ve also selected the Joolz Aer as this year’s easiest to fold. It folds & unfolds incredibly well with one hand and the seat is sturdy and tall, plus has a ton of storage which is a huge plus for a travel stroller.

How comfortable is it?

With the Joolz Aer+ range, you have more options for sustainable fabrics. Joolz teams with Waste2wear w\ho creates fabrics from recycled plastic. But they don’t just get the plastic bottles that come out of our recycling bins – they have an Ocean Plastic Project, collecting plastic from coastal areas and then are turned into usable fabric.

The Joolz Aer is super compact and what most parents love is the fact that it looks like a luxury full-size stroller, but it’s compact and light when folded. I often see some parents swapping their big strollers like Uppababy for smaller alternatives and Joolz is a perfect option for downsizing. Joolz Aer stroller is the first lightweight stroller of the very established and trusted Dutch brand Joolz. Aer is described as a high-quality, stylish, lightweight buggy. Is it really a good stroller though? This stroller came all assembled, which already made me feel relieved because you have enough to deal with as a parent. Everything is ready to go straight out of the box! The shopping basket on the Joolz Aer is outstanding and it was one of the main things our tester noticed on first impression. When it comes to sun protection, the Joolz Aer is fitted with a generous UPF50+ sunshade which unzips to offer even more protection, revealing breathable mesh that allows you to see your child. Our tester found it shaded her three-year-old well from the hips upwards. Are there any extra features?As such, the Aer coped well with alighting and disembarking the bus, managing the gap with no problem at all. It’s light in weight at only 6kg and, though it doesn’t have an integrated carry handle, it has lots of places to grab onto as well as a removable carry strap, which also makes it easy to carry up and down stairs. This is a buggy made for shopping with an overall storage capacity of 5kg. How does the Joolz Aer fold?

Its deep scoop shape ensures things won’t fall out and you can fit two small carrier bags worth of shopping in there, in addition to an average-sized changing bag. It’s also quite sturdy and feels like it could take a good weighing down. See below which countries/regions will have the version with the full recline suitable for a newborn. (Note: at the time of publishing the Joolz Aer+ hasn’t been launched in all countries where Joolz is sold, so this list will be updated as that information become available.) Semi-Recline The Joolz Aer comes straight out of the box ready to unfold and go, with no assembly needed. The box is itself a Joolz feature, with eye-catching instructions for turning it into a toy airplane for your child.

How easy is the Joolz Aer to clean?

The release of the new Joolz Aer+ stroller version is making many parents ask whether it’s worth the upgrade. What’s new? Were all the annoying features of Joolz Aer corrected? The canopy is minimally larger and the huge peekaboo mesh is smaller, but still doesn’t offer the flap. That said, the fabric is water-resistant and doesn’t attract stains or dirt so you’re unlikely to feel the need for a deeper clean than handwashing is able to give. By reclining the seat, you also allow access to ventilated mesh around the seat, which will be perfect in the summer. The huge and extendable canopy is perfect for sunny or rainy days as it’s UV50 and also water repellent.

The sun hood on the original Joolz Aer was one of the more generous sun hoods on a travel stroller, but the Joolz Aer+ took things a whole lot further! When the sun hood is extended the Joolz Aer+ comes down so far that your little one will have nearly complete protection from sun, wind and weather. With a higher seat to truly last the years as your child grows and premium-feel materials, the Aer+ is both stylish and functional. And best of all, it comes pre-assembled in the box, so you can start using it right away! For comfort, the seat is generously padded, a detail buggies of a similar size often skimp on. It’s worth noting that the seat is unusually long and well-suited to a tall child. Adele found the seat had lots of space around the sides for her three-year-old, who wouldn’t outgrow it any time soon. Firstly, there is no size or meaningful weight difference. No change to the dimensions (open or folded). The advertised weight looks like the it’s gone from 6.3kgs for the Aer to 6.4kgs for the Aer+. It’s probably rounded up to an extra 100g because all I can see that could possibly add weight would be the larger hood having a bit more fabric. So not really heavier in any meaningful way. How much space does it take up?

Rather, the Joolz Aer pushes very smoothly, with no undue effort expended in pushing at all. How safe is the Joolz Aer? The Joolz Aer is a seriously stylish buggy. From the lines to the leatherette on the handlebar and bumper bar to the fabric, everything feels like premium quality.
