And I find that this is a strong perfume, it projects a lot so I have to spray mindfully when I wear this. I always thought that if Yankee Candle's Pink Sands (strawberry and salt) came in a perfume, I'd love to have it. I know this fragrance doesn't have musk in the base but it's what I'm getting on my skin and the PAPER strip. You know, if I could go back in time, I would just tell myself to get this and get the whole fragrance journey over with.

It's a perfectly pleasant, bright, sunny white floral perfume, tailor-made for light, heat and summer. The Jasmine note from the original perfume is replaced with Orange Blossom which makes the scent a bit fresher and more summery.The orange blossom is so well done which otherwise could be a headache inducer but here it is so elegant. There is way too much ginger and salt in this perfume, especially in the opening that is very off putting. It is one I like, but definitely one I’d have to be in the mood for to wear, otherwise it would be causing a stressful headache. The salt and marine notes give this perfume that distinct beachy, sunkissed and almost skinlike quality.

Olympéa is *sensual* but not sexy, I’m the sense that it doesn’t induce imagery of sexy black lingerie or boudoir.Oh my this is gorgeous 😍 verry late to the party haha been after a versitle signature frag beachy but not strictly coconut, summer use only! BV has a bit more of a berry note, but in the opening of Olympea they are both very similar in that velvety, salty vanilla goodness. If I would smell it on someone now I'd probably think it's a poorly done dupe of something like Mon Paris (which I actually despise even though I loved fruitchoulis as a teenager). It follows the trendy wave of sun-themed fragrances that were "splashed" all over the market last year with a solar core and design, offering the brightness, happiness, strength, and optimism so needed, even in the perfume sector. Perhaps Paco Rabanne's answer to the Alien Goddess craze, this beauty doesn't bear much in common with the original Olympea.

The girls are all jealous to the point of hatred and all of the guys want to date her but she only sees them as friends except for one, who holds her heart.However to my nose it's missing the ingredients that make this scent profile special, and instead goes in a slightly different direction, more vanilla-tonka and white floral. One of my absolute vices regarding anything sweet is the synthetic bubblegum/tutti frutti flavour (I'm also a synthetic banana lover, taste wise).

I feel like the jasmine and cashmere/ambergris combo are way more prominent and the vanilla, which surprised me since I've always heard people describe this as mostly a "salty beachy vanilla" scent. The bad: I don't know whether it's the alcohol or an ingredient, but this sharp alcoholic aldehyde did not go away. i own a couple of fragrances i didn't like at first but powered through until i saw the light and began to love them dearly, but this one is so unpleasant to me that i have no desire to see if we may have more chemistry down the line.The other notes help to give the fragrance depth and conjures up an image of Southeast Asian deserts - while maintaining a watery element that keeps it wearable. The signature Salty Vanilla base comes through after the fruiter notes but it’s not as strong as in other versions of Olympéa. I'm trying it out in Winter but I'm not sure how it would work for me in Summer, perhaps a little cloying for a hot daytime but more appropriate for nightime or cooler days?
