This was followed by a video of Robbie Williams being broadcast on the curtains with the crowd cheering on deliriously. The curtains opened to a jaw-dropping stage setup. There were circular spaces between the ramps which is where the band performed. As she strode out onto the main stage, her eyes behind a retro sci-fi visor, it was as if she had beamed in from another planet. Effortless, ageless and poised, she oozes star quality, and within seconds she and and Blondie had the festival under her spell.
