7. ATOMY Foam Cleanser

Well there you have it! Four Etude House Soon Jung products all wrapped up into one review. It has been nearly two months in the making but I’m so happy that I was given the opportunity to revisit some old favorites from the line as well as experience some new offerings. Soon Jung truly exemplifies what K-Beauty has to offer in the “clean beauty” space, and dare I say they were first to the party? These products continue to deliver quality, performance, and value while still flying relatively low on the radar of newer skincare enthusiasts. I really wanted to like this as I love the soon jung line and the ingredients are all very gentle and soothing, however, in my experience this gives you that over cleansed 'squeaky skin' sensation and is a little too harsh despite my having oily skin and it still being summer. Yes, the Soon Jung whip cleanser is an excellent cleanser for sensitive skin. It’s formulated with natural ingredients and doesn’t contain any harsh chemicals that can irritate the skin. Plus, it’s gentle enough to be used daily without stripping away your skin’s natural oils. So if you’re looking for a non-irritating cleanser that will leave your skin feeling soft and clean, I recommend trying Soon Jung. Etude House, Soon Jung, pH 6.5 Whip Cleanser Review This list wasn’t even near complete without including this K-Beauty cult favorite cleanser. Unlike the name suggests, the Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser can be used both in the morning and nighttime. This gel to foam cleanser contains both tea tree leaf oil extract and BHA making it very suitable for those with acne-prone skin. While tea tree oil helps to soothe the skin the betaine salicylate gently exfoliates the skin and helps unclog the pores.

This works great if you’re looking for a one-step cleanser that will remove all dirt and impurities from your face without stripping the oils from your skin. It also contains lauric acid, an ingredient with anti-microbial properties that can be effective against inflammatory acne. As you can tell, Korean skincare dominates the beauty industry in many more ways than one. From the listed ingredients and formulas mentioned above, you can probably already tell that Korean foam cleansers are leagues above others, and Korean skincare companies truly care about the experience of their users. From naturally-derived ingredients to fresh extracts, there’s nothing like the feeling of Mother Nature enhancing the health of your skin.This soft foam is enriched with soothing Madecassoside, and skin barrier loving Panthenol to hydrate the skin and calm areas of irritation. Leaves skin feeling refreshed, rebalanced, and without any dry feeling or tightness. Similar to the Yadah cleanser we have another whipped cleanser which is the Etude House Soon Jung Cleanser. Like the title suggests this cleanser comes at a very optimal pH level of 6.5 which is very close to the skin’s natural pH level, leaving no room for irritation. Unlike Yadah, this cleanser contains Madecassoside and Panthenol very high up in the ingredient list. Madecassoside is a molecule derived from Centella Asiatica which promotes wound healing, alleviates inflammation and has anti-oxidant properties. Panthenol on the other side is used in skincare as a humectant, which means it has the ability to attract and hold moisture. However some sulfates are so good at their job, they can wash off your skin’s own natural oils that keep it moisturised and protected which can lead to dryness and irritation. As a result, please note this is only an experimental label that can be best used to possible identify problematic products you have used in the past. It is in no way a perfect identifier nor a predictor in whether or not it will exacerbate or cause fungal acne. It will continue to be worked on as more information and research comes to light. However, whip cleaners can also be more challenging to use than foam cleaners, as they require you to maintain a steady hand and apply even pressure. If you’re not careful, you may get cleaner on your clothes or your eyes. Additionally, whip cleaners can be more drying to the skin than foam cleaners.
