I've been going on an reincarnated-into-a-villian-in-isekai reading rage recently, but I have to say this has been one of my favourites. Rounding off the demons is a crow named Almond, after Aileen managed to successfully be tamed it to get to like her. What a pain in the ass because I would’ve preferred if she was just some dumb, unimportant female lead. The first volume introduces Aileen, the wicked Duke’s daughter, who regained her past life memories; she realizes she’s quickly headed to the bad ending where she meets her doom! Her motives is selfish even when it's good for the demons and people, which Aileen is upfront about. g. special spin-off character routes), regardless of how well she can memorize the entire game inside out to play exactly as how it would be panned out. If you've watched either HameFura or MobuSeka for that matter, AkuLas's story is essentially the same copy-pasted blurb setting of its main female MC being Isekai-ed into the game, with her memories intact of how the game is being played out and navigating thereabouts so that she can reach the outcome of the game's "good end" and avoiding the "bad end". The title was very promising but it didn't feel like it really lived up to it because the romance aspect of the story felt very sparse in comparison to the more villainess-y side of the plot, however both sides of the plot felt slightly lackluster because of the lack of depth to anything really. It looks like Aileen won’t go down easy though, and I’m assuming she’ll make use of her knowledge and start an even better, newer business that might support her and the Demon King! If the cover for this volume tells you anything, it’s that these two are in love, and theirs was one undoubtedly worth fighting for. I mean the demon king does the typical doting and protecting stuff too, but for a couple to do all that for each other and actually be thankful for what others have done for them instead of feeling sorry for themselves at least once in the story is really refreshing.The VAs should not be overlooked for how well they portray the characters to which they are assigned. Despite this stumble, there’s plenty that I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss Volume 3does right. The series has been published in English as I'm the Villainess, So I'm Taming the Final Boss by Yen Press under the Yen On imprint since October 12, 2021. Aileen a un sacré caractère, quand elle veut quelque chose elle le veut et fera tout pour arriver à ses fins. Where the story falters, the characters make up for the slack, and I would say that the good balances the bad to make for a decent product overall.But as it is, my original point still stands that HameFura is the better of the 3 Otome Game adaptations, and this show, while being good in spots, has its own flaws that aren't negligible, and somewhat disappointingly wedges between said shows neutralizing both good and bad aspects of the anime.
