Despite hearing about its supposed resemblance to Christopher DiCas Le Parfum and subsequently acquiring Photo, my experience led me to an unexpected preference.

It is not vetiver per se, more like vetiver accord, or woody-spicy accord but then again I wouldn't say it is vetiver. This smells like if Jessica McClintock from the 80s and Clinique’s Happy made a baby but has half the lasting power. It smells as though if you were in a casino in Las Vegas, the smell of cigarettes, the boozy cocktails, the smoke trapped in those colorful carpets, that is Jazz Club.This side-by-side comparison promises to be an enlightening olfactory journey, allowing me to appreciate the distinct characteristics of each scent and, ultimately, make a more informed assessment of their individual merits. I really hope Zara will bring back the absolute gems like Waterlily Tea Dress and the entire Vibrant Cities collection, or something similar. Before fifteen minutes in the smell of lemon cleaner goes away and all I am left with is a mildly almost soapy orange -ish scent strong wood smoke and barely there caramel way down at the bottom somewhere.

I don’t detect any sort of blood orange or anything other than a chemical lemony smell like industrial cleaning products. Not saying Bombshell Gold smells like these frags, but if you own or have smelled both, then you can understand the sensation of both being on opposite ends of the spectrum.
