This is a smaller sized guitar and has a more defined waist. This model is suited to anyone looking for a mid-range heavy, warm sound. Seagull recommends this model for playing finger-style, for singer/songwriters and for recording. The Seagull S6 is an excellent all-around acoustic guitar for intermediate to advanced players. If you’re just starting out, we would probably recommend going for something a little bit cheaper. Even with that said, the small price is not that much to pay for a guitar that has so many great features! Conclusion This is identical to the S6 Spruce Sunburst GT except that it is fitted with Fishman Sonitone electronics.

The number of high-end features in this guitar is evident from the moment you start playing. From its solid construction to its advanced saddles, this guitar is sure to last a long time. And whilst it doesn’t produce the best bass sounds or may sound too “vibrant” for some, the sound opens up with age. Now, the type of saddle you choose is also important; plastic saddles are the cheapest and easiest to find, but they don’t last as long as bone saddles. Don’t think that excludes the strummers however. The 648mm- (25.5-inch) scale length puts plenty of twang in the strings making the S6 Original versatile enough to handle anything. Spruce: Most professional guitarists and luthiers agree that spruce wood produces a clearer sound than cedar and produces more sustain. Vor etwa einem Jahr dann wieder mit ner Nylon-Gitarre angefangen (klassik gespielt). Nun wollte ich mal wieder auf ner Westerngitarre spielen und so begab ich mich auf die Suche.

Most people wouldn’t notice the saddle but, when you change the strings, you’ll see that the saddle “grooves” in different directions for each of the strings. With its classic dreadnought shape and tonal warmth, the S6 Seagull deserves the attention of many guitarists. Let’s look at what we liked and what we didn’t. What We Liked With a nut width of 1.8″, the fretboard airs on the larger end of the scale. The larger nut means there’s ample space between the strings. It’s nice and roomy for players with larger hands. These are two great guitars. But both with two unique sounds. The BT2 has presence and midrange. Making it a nice guitar for use with slides.

As a dreadnought, you can expect the sound to project with loudness. The tapered body shape rounds off any boom sometimes associated with a dreadnought.
