Conclusion: I have seen all 3 kinds (full RGB, rainbow, and now single color: red) and by far the single color looks the best. The keyboard holds a special place in my heart as it was one of the first keyboards I ever modified and definitely is the keyboard I am most experienced with. For a beginner enthusiast, buying one to tinker with is probably a good idea although if you're really short for money there's likely a cheaper option given the price hike the k552 has gotten in the past year. Also, the Outemu switches are known to be more cost-efficient. That makes them quite the fixture in budget keyboards. However, they still give off the same switch performance as Cherry MX.
